Details
Originally built as a bank in 1923, then converted into a hotel and tastefully refurbished in 1998, the hotel's imposing facade remains an unquestionably impressive landmark on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. The entrance into the 3 star hotel is through Logie Bairds Bar, notably live and frequented by locals and visitors alike. The reception is located in the Bank Manager's office at the rear of the Bar where access to the hotel's bedrooms is hidden in the oaked panelled walls. The distinctive bedrooms are on the three floors above the bar in this 'A' listed building which has no lift and is, therefore, unsuitable for the elderly or infirm. (Chargeable car park nearby)
